Description
Appellant pled "not guilty" to the charge of involuntary manslaughter. A jury found him guilty and assessed punishment at ten years confinement in the Texas Department of Corrections and a $5,000.00 fine. On appeal to the Fourteenth Court of Appeals, appellants conviction was affirmed in an unpublished opinion. Henry v. State, No. B14-84-592CR, delivered October 10, 1985. We granted appellants petition for discretionary review to consider whether the States use of its peremptory strikes violated appellants right to trial by a cross section of the community. We will reverse and remand to the Court of Appeals.
